Sukta 10.85

Devata: Sūryā (bride); Dyāvā-Pṛthivī (Heaven-Earth as cosmic witnesses/support)

चित्तिरा उपबर्हणं चक्षुरा अभ्यञ्जनम् । द्यौर्भूमिः कोश आसीद्यदयात्सूर्या पतिम् ॥

cíttirā upabárhaṇaṁ cákṣurā abhyáñjanam | dyáur bhū́miḥ kóśa āsīd yád ayāt sū́ryā pátiṃ ||

சித்திரா அவளின் உபபர்ஹணம்—தலையணை—ஆயிற்று; சக்ஷுரா அவளின் அப்யஞ்சனம்—அஞ்சனம்—ஆயிற்று. சூர்யா கணவனிடம் சென்றபோது, த்யௌவும் பூமியும் கோஷம்—பெட்டகம்—ஆயின; உலகங்களுக்குள் விதிக்கப்பட்ட இணைவில் ஒளிமிகு சைதன்யம் புகுந்தது.
