Sukta 1.102
उत्ते शतान्मघवन्नुच्च भूयस उत्सहस्राद्रिरिचे कृष्टिषु श्रवः । अमात्रं त्वा धिषणा तित्विषे मह्यधा वृत्राणि जिघ्नसे पुरंदर ॥
útte śatā́n maghavan núc ca bhū́yasa útsahasrā́d ririce kṛ́ṣṭiṣu śrávaḥ | amā́traṃ tvā dhiṣáṇā titviṣe mahy ádhā vṛtrā́ṇi jighnase purandara ||
மகவன்! நூறுகளைவிட உயர்ந்து, அதற்கும் மேலாய்; ஆயிரங்களையும் தாண்டி உன் ‘ஶ்ரவஸ்’ (புகழ்) மக்களிடையே பெருகி வழிகிறது. அளவிலாத உன்னை ‘திஷணா’ (ஊக்கமூட்டும் ஞானம்) மகத்துவத்திற்காகத் தீவிரமாகத் தூண்டுகிறது; அப்போது நகரங்களை உடைப்பவனே (புரந்தர)! நீ வ்ருத்ரர்களைச் சாய்க்கிறாய்.
