Sukta 1.101
यो अश्वानां यो गवां गोपतिर्वशी य आरितः कर्मणिकर्मणि स्थिरः । वीळोश्चिदिन्द्रो यो असुन्वतो वधो मरुत्वन्तं सख्याय हवामहे ॥
yó áśvānāṁ yó gávāṁ gópatir vaśī́ yá ā́ritaḥ kármaṇi-kármaṇi sthiráḥ | vīḷóś cid índro yó ásunvato vadhó marútvantaṁ sakhyā́ya havāmahe ||
குதிரைகளின் அதிபதி, பசுக்களின் அதிபதி—கோபதி, வஷீ—ஆகியவர்; ஒவ்வொரு செயலிலும் நிலைத்து, முறையாக நிறுவப்பட்டவர்; சோமத்தைப் பிழியாத (அஸுன்வத்)வர்களையும் வதைக்கும் இந்திரன்—அத்தகைய மருத்வான் இந்திரனை நாம் சখ্যத்திற்காக அழைக்கிறோம்.
