The Slaying of Indrajit
सौरेणास्त्रणतवदीरोलक्ष्मणःपर्यवारयत् ।अस्त्रंनिवारितंदृष्टवारावणिःक्रोथमूर्छितः ।।।।आददेनिशितंबाणमासुरंशत्रुदारुणम् ।
saureṇāstreṇa tad vīro lakṣmaṇaḥ paryavārayat |
astraṃ nivāritaṃ dṛṣṭvā rāvaṇiḥ krodhamūrcchitaḥ ||
ādade niśitaṃ bāṇam āsuraṃ śatrudāruṇam ||6.91.59||
அந்த ஆக்னேயாஸ்திரத்தை வீரன் லக்ஷ்மணன் சௌராஸ்திரத்தால் தடுத்தான். தன் அஸ்திரம் தடுக்கப்பட்டதைப் பார்த்த ராவணி (இந்திரஜித்) கோபத்தில் மயங்கி, பகைவர்க்கு அச்சமூட்டும் கூர்மையான ஆசுர அம்பை எடுத்தான்।
Then Lakshmana used a Sun missile and repelled (Indrajith's fire missile). Seeing his missile obstructed, Indrajith deluded with anger used a sharp Asura missile capable of destroying the enemy.
