इन्द्रजित्–लक्ष्मणयोर् घोरः शरयुद्धः

सुदीर्घकालंतौवीरावन्योन्यनिशितैःशरैः ।ततक्षतुर्महात्मानौरणकर्मविहारदौ ।।6.89.24।।
sudīrghakālaṃ tau vīrāv anyonyaniśitaiḥ śaraiḥ | tatakṣatur mahātmānau raṇakarmavihāradau ||6.89.24||
மிக நீண்ட காலம் அந்த இரு வீரர்கள்—மகாத்மைகள், போர்கலையில் தேர்ந்தவர்கள்—ஒருவரையொருவர் கூரிய அம்புகளால் கிழித்துக் கொண்டே போரிட்டனர்॥
