एषासादृश्यतेपम्पानलिनीचित्रकानना ।। ।।त्वयाविहीनोयत्राहंविललापसुदुःखितः ।
eṣā sā dṛśyate pampā nalinī citrakānanā | tvayā vihīno yatrāhaṃ vilalāpa suduḥkhitaḥ ||
அதோ, அதுவே பம்பை—தாமரைகள் நிறைந்த நீருடன், பலவகை வனங்களால் அழகுபெற்றது; நீ இல்லாமல் நான் அங்கே மிகுந்த துயரத்தில் புலம்பினேன்।
