महत्या कुथयास्तीर्णां पृथिवीलक्षणाङ्कया।पृथिवीमिव विस्तीर्णां सराष्ट्रगृहमालिनीम्।।5.9.26।।

Transliteration

mahatyā kuthayāstīrṇāṃ pṛthivīlakṣaṇāṅkayā |

pṛthivīm iva vistīrṇāṃ sarāṣṭragṛhamālinīm ||5.9.26||

Translation

அது பெரும் குதா (பரப்பு) விரிப்பால் விரிக்கப்பட்டு, பூமியின் இலக்கணங்களைப் போன்ற வடிவங்களால் குறியிடப்பட்டிருந்தது. அரசுகள், நகரங்கள், இல்லவரிசைகள் மாலையெனத் தோன்ற, தானே பூமிபோல் விரிந்ததாக விளங்கியது॥
