सुन्दरकाण्डे अष्टपञ्चाशः सर्गः
हनुमद्वृत्तान्तकथनम्, सीताभिज्ञान-प्रदानम्, लङ्कादाह-वर्णनम्
तां हत्वा पुनरेवाहं कृत्यमात्ययिकं स्मरन्।गत्वा चाह महध्वानं पश्यामि नगमण्डितम्।।।।दक्षिणं तीरमुदधेर्लङ्का यत्र च सा पुरी।
tāṃ hatvā punar evāhaṃ kṛtyam ātyayikaṃ smaran | gatvā cāha mahādhvānaṃ paśyāmi nagamaṇḍitam ||
dakṣiṇaṃ tīram udadher laṅkā yatra ca sā purī |
அவளை வதைத்து நான் மீண்டும் அவசரக் கடமையை நினைந்து, அந்தப் பெரும் பாதையில் சென்று, மலைகளால் அலங்கரிக்கப்பட்ட கடலின் தென் கரையை கண்டேன்—அங்கேயே லங்காபுரி அமைந்துள்ளது।
