सुन्दरकाण्डे अष्टपञ्चाशः सर्गः
हनुमद्वृत्तान्तकथनम्, सीताभिज्ञान-प्रदानम्, लङ्कादाह-वर्णनम्
व्यवसायं च तं बुद्ध्वा स होवाच महागिरिः।।।पुत्त्रेति मधुरां वाणीं मनः प्रह्लादयन्निव।
vyavasāyaṃ ca taṃ buddhvā sa hovāca mahāgiriḥ | puttreti madhurāṃ vāṇīṃ manaḥ prahlādayann iva ||
அவனுடைய உறுதியையும் முயற்சியையும் அறிந்த அந்த மகாகிரி, மனத்தை மகிழ்விப்பதுபோல் இனிய குரலில் ‘மகனே’ என்று உரைத்தது.
