यदि मां वृत्तसम्पन्नां तत्समागमलालसाम्।।5.53.30।।स विजानाति धर्मात्मा शीतो भव हनूमतः।
yadi māṃ vṛttasampannāṃ tat-samāgama-lālasām ||5.53.30|| sa vijānāti dharmātmā śīto bhava hanūmataḥ |
அந்த தர்மாத்மா ராமன், என்னை குற்றமற்ற ஒழுக்கமுடையவளாகவும், அவனுடன் மீண்டும் சேர்வதையே நாடுபவளாகவும் அறிந்திருந்தால்—ஹே ஹவ்யவாஹன அக்னியே! ஹனுமானுக்கு குளிர்ந்தவனாய் இரு।
"O Fire-god! if Rama is righteous, if I am pure in mind, and if I am longing to unite with him, be cool to Hanuman.
The verse ties protection to satya and śīla (truth and integrity): moral purity is presented as a force that calls forth divine safeguarding.
Sītā appeals to Agni while Hanumān is being tormented, grounding her prayer in her fidelity and Rāma’s dharma.
Sītā’s unwavering fidelity (pativratā-bhāva) and moral clarity under extreme suffering.
