ऋश्यशृङ्गानयनकथा — The Account of Bringing Ṛśyaśṛṅga
and the Remedy for Drought
तस्यैवं वर्तमानस्य कालस्समभिवर्तत ।अग्निं शुश्रूषमाणस्य पितरं च यशस्विनम्।।।।
tasyaivaṃ vartamānasya kālaḥ samabhivartata |
agniṃ śuśrūṣamāṇasya pitaraṃ ca yaśasvinam ||
இவ்வாறு வாழ்ந்துகொண்டிருந்த அவனுக்குக் காலம் கழிந்தது; அவன் புனித அக்னியைப் பணிவுடன் பராமரித்து, புகழ்மிக்க தந்தையையும் பக்தியுடன் சேவித்தான்।
Kasyapa has a famous son named Vibhandaka. It was prophesied that he would have a son named Rsyasringa.
Daily dharma is shown as steady service—both to sacred ritual obligations and to one’s parent/teacher—sustained over time.
The story depicts Ṛśyaśṛṅga’s routine: tending the sacred fire and serving his father as years pass.
