स्वकर्मनिरता नित्यं ब्राह्मणा विजितेन्द्रिया: ।दानाध्ययनशीलाश्च संयताश्च परिग्रहे ।।1.6.13।।
svakarmaniratā nityaṁ brāhmaṇā vijitendriyāḥ |
dānādhyayanaśīlāś ca saṁyatāś ca parigrahe ||1.6.13||
பிராமணர்கள் எப்போதும் தத்தம் ஸ்வதர்மக் கடமைகளில் நிலைத்திருந்து, இந்திரியங்களை வென்றவர்களாக இருந்தனர்; தானமும் வேதாத்யயனமும் விரும்பி, பெறுதல்-சேர்த்தல் விஷயங்களில் கட்டுப்பாட்டுடன் இருந்தனர்।
