'O Visnu! son of Virochana is performing a great sacrifice. Before its completion, our purpose ought to be achieved'.
Dharma involves discerning timely action: the devas stress acting before the sacrifice concludes, implying that moral-cosmic outcomes can hinge on proper timing within lawful ritual frameworks.
The devas inform Viṣṇu that Bali is in the midst of a major sacrifice and urge intervention prior to its completion.
Prudence and strategic restraint—seeking restoration through an appropriate moment rather than open confrontation.
