अश्वमेधप्रवृत्तिः
Commencement and Performance of Daśaratha’s Aśvamedha
अन्नं हि विधिवत्साधु प्रशंसन्ति द्विजर्षभा:।अहो तृप्ता: स्म भद्रं ते इति शुश्राव राघव:।।।।
annaṁ hi vidhivat sādhu praśaṁsanti dvijarṣabhāḥ |
aho tṛptāḥ sma bhadraṁ te iti śuśrāva rāghavaḥ ||
முறையாகச் சமைக்கப்பட்ட அன்னத்தைச் சுவைத்த இருபிறப்புச் சிறந்தோர் அதைப் புகழ்ந்து—“ஆஹா! நாங்கள் திருப்தி அடைந்தோம்; உமக்கு மங்கலம் உண்டாகுக” என்று கூறினர்; அதை ராகவன் கேட்டான்।
While brahmins were being served with food by well-dressed men, some others wearing pendents studded with shining jewels assisted them.
