Preparations for Rama’s Coronation
प्रगृह्य शिरसा पात्रीं हविषो विधिवत्तदा।महते दैवतायाज्यं जुहाव ज्वलितेऽनले।।2.6.2।।
pragṛhya śirasā pātrīṃ haviṣo vidhivat tadā |
mahate daivatāyājyaṃ juhāva jvalite 'nale || 2.6.2 ||
அப்போது அவர் விதிப்படி ஹவிசுப் பாத்திரத்தைத் தலையில் தாங்கி, ஜ்வலித்த புனித அக்னியில் மகாதேவதையான (விஷ்ணு) அவர்க்கு நெய்யாஹுதியை அர்ப்பணித்தார்।
On the occasion of Rama's coronation the highway, strewn with flowers and rendered fragrant with the burning of incense by the citizens looked glorious.
