अथाऽत्मपरिधानार्थं सीता कौशेयवासिनी।समीक्ष्य चीरं सन्त्रस्ता पृषती वागुरामिव।।2.37.9।।

அப்போது பட்டாடை அணிந்திருந்த சீதை, தன் உடை அணிவதற்காக வைத்திருந்த சீர் ஆடையைப் பார்த்ததும் அச்சத்தால் பின்னடைந்தாள்—வேட்டைக்காரனின் கண்ணியைப் பார்த்த மான்பெண் திடுக்கிடுவது போல.
