प्रियया च तथोक्त स्सन् केकयः पृथिवीपतिः।तस्मै तं वरदायार्थं कथयामास तत्त्वतः।।2.35.24।।
priyayā ca tathoktaḥ san kekayaḥ pṛthivīpatiḥ | tasmai taṁ varadāyārthaṁ kathayāmāsa tattvataḥ ||2.35.24||
அன்புத் துணைவி இவ்வாறு கூறியபோது, பூமியின் அதிபதியான கேகய அரசன், வரம் அளிப்பவனைச் சார்ந்த அந்த முழு நிகழ்வையும் அவளுக்கு உண்மையாய் எடுத்துரைத்தான்।
