विलापः / The Lament at Jatāyu and the Abduction of Sītā
अयं हि पापचारेण मां त्रातुमभिसङ्गतः।शेते विनिहतो भूमौ ममाभाग्याद्विहंगमः।।।।
ayaṃ hi pāpacāreṇa māṃ trātum abhisaṅgataḥ |
śete vinihato bhūmau mamābhāgyād vihaṅgamaḥ ||
“என்னை காக்க முன்வந்த இந்தப் பறவையை அந்தப் பாவி தாக்கி வீழ்த்திவிட்டான்; என் துரதிர்ஷ்டத்தால் இது தரையில் கிடக்கிறது.”
Seeing Sita abducted, the glorious Sun looked lustreless and distraught. He developed a pale white disk around him.
