Virādha-saṃvādaḥ — Encounter with Virādha in the Daṇḍakāraṇya
Aranya Kanda, Sarga 2
सीता प्रवेपतोद्वेगात् प्रावाते कदली यथा।।।।तां दृष्ट्वा राघवः सीतां विराधाङ्कगतां शुभाम्।अब्रवील्लक्ष्मणं वाक्यं मुखेन परिशुष्यता।।।।
sītā pravepata udvegāt prāvāte kadalī yathā | tāṃ dṛṣṭvā rāghavaḥ sītāṃ virādhāṅka-gatāṃ śubhām | abravīl lakṣmaṇaṃ vākyaṃ mukhena pariśuṣyatā ||
அதிர்ச்சியால் சீதை நடுங்கினாள்; பலத்த காற்றில் வாழைமரம் நடுங்குவது போல. விராதனின் மடியில் அமர்ந்திருந்த மங்களமான சீதையை கண்ட ராகவனின் வாய் உலர்ந்து, அவன் லக்ஷ்மணனிடம் இவ்வாறு கூறினான்.
