दशमः सर्गः — Rama’s Vow to Protect the Sages of Daṇḍaka
Dharma of Refuge
इत्येवमुक्त्वा वचनं महात्मा सीतां प्रियां मैथिलराजपुत्रीम्।रामो धनुष्मान्सह लक्ष्मणेन जगाम रम्याणि तपोवनानि।।।।
ity evam uktvā vacanaṁ mahātmā sītāṁ priyāṁ maithilarājaputrīm |
rāmo dhanuṣmān saha lakṣmaṇena jagāma ramyāṇi tapovanāni ||
இவ்வாறு தன் பிரியமான சீதை—மைதில மன்னனின் மகள்—அவளிடம் சொல்லிவிட்டு, வில்லேந்திய மகாத்மா ராமன் இலக்குமணனுடன் அழகிய தவவனங்களுக்குச் சென்றான்.
