प्राणायामपरो नित्यं ध्यानवान्नियतेंद्रियः । भैक्ष्यभक्षी व्रती वापि सर्वप्रत्याहृतेंद्रियः

prāṇāyāmaparo nityaṃ dhyānavānniyateṃdriyaḥ | bhaikṣyabhakṣī vratī vāpi sarvapratyāhṛteṃdriyaḥ

எப்போதும் பிராணாயாமத்தில் ஈடுபட்டு, இடையறா தியானமுடையவனாய், இంద్రியங்களை அடக்கி—பிச்சையால் வாழ்ந்து, விரதம் மேற்கொண்டு, எல்லா இంద్రியங்களையும் முழுமையாகப் பிரத்யாஹாரம் செய்தவனாய் இருப்பான்।
