विशालां च महाराजः कंदर्पाकृष्टमानसः । राजोवाच । आगतोऽस्मि महाभागे विशाले चारुलोचने

viśālāṃ ca mahārājaḥ kaṃdarpākṛṣṭamānasaḥ | rājovāca | āgato'smi mahābhāge viśāle cārulocane

பின்னர் காமனால் ஈர்க்கப்பட்ட மனத்துடன் மஹாராஜன் விசாலாவிடம் கூறினான்— “மகாபாக்யவதியே விசாலே, அழகிய கண்களையுடையவளே, நான் வந்தேன்.”

The King (Mahārāja)

Concept: Kāma ‘pulls’ the mind (kandarpa-ākṛṣṭa-mānasa), turning speech into self-justifying pursuit; vigilance is needed before desire speaks through us.

Application: Before making requests driven by attraction, pause and test motive: is it aligned with dharma? Substitute impulsive approach with prayer, counsel, and restraint.
