यजते दानपुण्यैश्च तस्य दानस्य यत्फलम् । वाराणस्यां च गंगायां यत्फलं न च पुष्करे

yajate dānapuṇyaiśca tasya dānasya yatphalam | vārāṇasyāṃ ca gaṃgāyāṃ yatphalaṃ na ca puṣkare

யாகமும் தானப் புண்ணியமும் தரும் பலன்—அந்த தானத்தின் அதே பலன் வாராணசியில் கங்கைக் கரையில் கிடைக்கும்; புஷ்கரத்தில் (கூட) இல்லை.
