Sūta (colophon/end-of-chapter formula; narrative frame rather than a spoken verse)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: none
It functions as a colophon marking the completion of Adhyaya 65, framing the tīrtha-yātrā teaching as part of Kurukṣetra’s sanctity (māhātmya) and preserving the textual lineage and context for ritual-pilgrimage practice.
Indirectly: by situating pilgrimage (tīrtha-yātrā) within a māhātmya, it supports bhakti through sacred geography—visiting revered places with faith as an aid to remembrance, purification, and devotion-oriented discipline.
No specific Vedāṅga (like Vyākaraṇa or Jyotiṣa) is taught in this colophon; it primarily provides textual organization—chapter title, section, and dialogue frame—useful for accurate citation and ritual-reading (pāṭha) referencing.
