The Procedure for Offering Piṇḍa (Funerary Rice-balls) — Gayā-māhātmya
दक्षिणाग्रौ कृतं नूनं तद्भवं फल्गुतीर्थकम् । यस्मिन्फलति फल्ग्वां गौः कामधेनुर्जलं मही ॥ ८४ ॥
dakṣiṇāgrau kṛtaṃ nūnaṃ tadbhavaṃ phalgutīrthakam | yasminphalati phalgvāṃ gauḥ kāmadhenurjalaṃ mahī || 84 ||
தெற்கு முனையில் அந்தப் பல்கு தீர்த்தம் நிச்சயமாக நிறுவப்பட்டுள்ளது. அங்கே சிறிதெனத் தோன்றுவதும் பலனளிக்கும்—மாடு காமதேனுவைப் போல, நீர் காமதேனுவைப் போல அருளும், நிலமும் வளமடையும்.
