Gaṅgā-māhātmya
सामान्यस्थानतो देवि तत्र संध्या ह्युपासिता । पुण्यं लक्षगुणं कर्तुं समर्था द्विजपावनी ॥ ३ ॥
sāmānyasthānato devi tatra saṃdhyā hyupāsitā | puṇyaṃ lakṣaguṇaṃ kartuṃ samarthā dvijapāvanī || 3 ||
தேவி, சாதாரண இடத்திலிருந்தும் எங்கு சந்த்யா-உபாசனை செய்யப்படுகிறதோ, அங்கு அது இருமுறை பிறந்தவர்களைப் புனிதப்படுத்தி, புண்ணியத்தை இலட்சமடங்கு பெருக்க வல்லதாகும்।
