Sanatkumara (in instruction to Narada)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It codifies a complete mantra-anushthana: meditation (dhyāna), disciplined repetition (japa-lakṣa), and sealing the practice through a proportional fire-offering (daśāṁśa homa), culminating in formal worship on the prescribed pīṭha.
Even as a technical rite, it frames devotion as sustained inner remembrance (dhyāna) expressed outwardly through offerings (kamala-homa) and reverent worship (yajana), integrating inner bhāva with ritual service.
It highlights prayoga (ritual application): fixed counts for japa (lakṣa), the daśāṁśa rule for homa, proper dravya selection (bloomed lotuses), and adherence to an earlier-defined altar/seat (pīṭha) in a structured procedure.
