याम्य शृङ्गोन्नतश्चन्द्रः शुभदो मीनमेषयोः । सौम्य शृङ्गोन्नतः श्रेष्ठो नृयुङ्मकरयोस्तथा ॥ १८ ॥
yāmya śṛṅgonnataścandraḥ śubhado mīnameṣayoḥ | saumya śṛṅgonnataḥ śreṣṭho nṛyuṅmakarayostathā || 18 ||
சந்திரன் ‘தெற்கு கொம்பு’ எனப்படும் நிலையில் உயர்ந்து தோன்றினால், மீனம் மற்றும் மேஷத்திற்கு அது சுபத்தை அளிக்கும். அதுபோல ‘வடக்கு கொம்பு’ நிலையில் உயர்ந்த சந்திரன் கும்பம் மற்றும் மகரத்திற்கும் சிறந்த பலனைத் தருவதாகக் கருதப்படுகிறது.
