विलोमगतयः पातास्तद्वञ्चक्राष्विशोधिताः । योजनानि शतान्यष्टौ भूकर्णौ द्विगुणाः स्मृतः ॥ ८३ ॥

Transliteration

vilomagatayaḥ pātāstadvañcakrāṣviśodhitāḥ | yojanāni śatānyaṣṭau bhūkarṇau dviguṇāḥ smṛtaḥ || 83 ||

Translation

பாதாளப் பகுதிகளின் இயக்கங்கள் எதிர்மாறானவை எனக் கூறப்படுகின்றன; அங்கே வஞ்சகச் சக்கரங்கள் சுத்திகரிக்கப்படாமல் (குழப்பமூட்டுவதாக) உள்ளன. ‘பூ-கர்ணம்’ என்பது எட்டுநூறு யோஜனைகள் அளவு என நினைவில் கூறப்படுகிறது; அடுத்த அளவு அதின் இரட்டிப்பு எனச் சொல்லப்படுகிறது॥
