मिथोघ्नाति भजेत्स्वाक्षेशैर्द्रोणादिमितिर्भवेत् । विस्ताराद्यं गुलान्येवं मिथोघ्नान्यपसांभवेत् ॥ ५५ ॥
mithoghnāti bhajetsvākṣeśairdroṇādimitirbhavet | vistārādyaṃ gulānyevaṃ mithoghnānyapasāṃbhavet || 55 ||
‘மிதோக்னா’ எனப்படும் அளவைத் தன் அங்குலி அளவுகளால் பகுத்தால் த்ரோண முதலான நிலையான அளவுகள் கிடைக்கும். அதுபோல அகலம் முதலான கோட்டளவுகளிலும் இவ்வாறான விகிதப் பகுப்பால் ‘குலா’ முதலான துணைஅளவுகள் உருவாகும்।
