ऊदृदंतैर्यौति रुक्ष्णुशूङ्स्नुनुक्षुश्चिडीङ्श्रिभिः । वृङ्वृञ्भ्यां च विनैकाचोऽजंतेषु निहताः स्मृताः ॥ ७७ ॥
ūdṛdaṃtairyauti rukṣṇuśūṅsnunukṣuściḍīṅśribhiḥ | vṛṅvṛñbhyāṃ ca vinaikāco'jaṃteṣu nihatāḥ smṛtāḥ || 77 ||
ஊ-, த்ரு-, தந்த் முதலியவற்றோடு, ‘யௌதி’ போன்ற ரூபங்களிலும்; ருக்ஷ்ணு, ஶூங், ஸ்நுனுக்ஷு முதலிய தாதுக்களிலும், சிட், ஈங், ஶ்ரீ குறியீடுகளோடும்; வ்ரிங், வ்ரிஞ் உடனும்—ஏகாச் அல்லாத இடங்களில்—அஜந்த (பரஸ்மைபத) விகுதிகளில் லோபம் ஏற்பட்டதாகக் கருத வேண்டும்.
