Vyākaraṇa-saṅgraha: Pada–Vibhakti–Kāraka–Lakāra–Samāsa
सुप्तिङंतं पदं विप्र सुपां सप्त विभक्तयः । स्वौजसः प्रथमा प्रोक्ता सा प्रातिपदिकात्मिका ॥ २ ॥
suptiṅaṃtaṃ padaṃ vipra supāṃ sapta vibhaktayaḥ | svaujasaḥ prathamā proktā sā prātipadikātmikā || 2 ||
ஓ பிராமணரே, ‘பதம்’ என்பது ‘ஸுப்’ அல்லது ‘திங்’ விகுதியால் முடிவுறுவது. ஸுப் விகுதிகள் ஏழு வேற்றுமைகளாக அமைந்துள்ளன. ‘ஸு–ஔ–ஜஸ்’ என்பது முதலாவது (பிரதமா) வேற்றுமை எனக் கூறப்படுகிறது; அது பிராதிபதிகம் (பெயர்த் தளம்) சார்ந்தது.
