योगस्वरूप-धारणा-समाधि-वर्णनम् (केशिध्वजोपदेशः)
प्राणाख्यमवलंबस्थमभ्यासात्कुरुते तु यत् । प्राणायामः स विज्ञेयः सबीजोऽबीज एव च ॥ १६ ॥
prāṇākhyamavalaṃbasthamabhyāsātkurute tu yat | prāṇāyāmaḥ sa vijñeyaḥ sabījo'bīja eva ca || 16 ||
அப்யாசத்தின் மூலம், தன் உரிய ஆதாரத்தில் நிலைத்து இருக்கும் பிராணனை ஒழுங்குபடுத்தும் பயிற்சியே பிராணாயாமம் என அறியப்பட வேண்டும்; அது ‘சபீஜம்’ மற்றும் ‘அபீஜம்’ என இருவகை.
