अयनादयनं यावद् वर्जयेत्पुष्पसर्पिषी तदन्ते पुष्पदामानि घृतधेन्वा सहैव तु //

Transliteration

ayanādayanaṃ yāvad varjayetpuṣpasarpiṣī tadante puṣpadāmāni ghṛtadhenvā sahaiva tu //

Translation

ஒரு அயனத்திலிருந்து அடுத்த அயனம் வரை பூவும் நெய்யும் அர்ப்பணிப்பதைத் தவிர்க்க வேண்டும். அந்த காலத்தின் முடிவில் பூமாலைகளையும் நெய்தேனு (நெய்யால் நிறைந்ததாகக் கருதப்படும் குறியீட்டு கோதானம்) உடனும் சேர்த்து அர்ப்பணிக்க வேண்டும்.
