नवम्यामेकभक्तं तु कृत्वा कन्याश्च शक्तितः भोजयित्वासनं दद्याद् धैमकञ्चुकवाससी //

Transliteration

navamyāmekabhaktaṃ tu kṛtvā kanyāśca śaktitaḥ bhojayitvāsanaṃ dadyād dhaimakañcukavāsasī //

Translation

நவமியில் ஏகபக்தம் (ஒருமுறை உணவு) கடைப்பிடித்து, இயன்ற அளவில் கன்னியரை உணவளித்து; பின்னர் அவர்களுக்கு ஆசனம், பொன் கஞ்சுகம் (மேலாடை) மற்றும் ஆடைகள் தானமாக வழங்க வேண்டும்.
