त्रेता त्रीणि सहस्राणि युगसंख्याविदो विदुः तस्यापि त्रिशती संध्या संध्यांशः संध्यया समः //

Transliteration

tretā trīṇi sahasrāṇi yugasaṃkhyāvido viduḥ tasyāpi triśatī saṃdhyā saṃdhyāṃśaḥ saṃdhyayā samaḥ //

Translation

யுகக் கணக்கை அறிந்தோர் கூறுவர்: திரேதா யுகம் மூவாயிரம் (தெய்வ ஆண்டுகள்). அதன் சந்தியா முந்நூறு; சந்தியாம்சமும் சந்தியைக்கு சமம்.
