मयि दृष्टे सदा यस्मात् कुरुषे नेत्रसंयमम् ।

तस्माज्जनिष्यसे मूढे प्रजासंयमनं यमम् ॥

நீ எப்போதெல்லாம் என்னைப் பார்க்கிறாயோ, அப்போதெல்லாம் கண்களை அடக்கி கீழே தாழ்த்துகிறாய்; ஆகையால், ஓ மூடமே, உயிர்களை கட்டுப்படுத்தி ஆளும் யமனை நீப் பெறுவாய்।
