Adhyaya 70 — The King Confronts the Rakshasa and Restores the Brahmin’s Wife
राजोवाच स्वभावं वयमश्नीमस्त्वयोक्तं यन्निशाचर ।
तदर्थिनो वयं येन कार्येण शृणु तन्मम ॥
rājovāca svabhāvaṃ vayam aśnīmas tvayoktaṃ yan niśācara |
tad-arthino vayaṃ yena kāryeṇa śṛṇu tan mama ||
அரசன் கூறினான்— ஓ இரவுலாவியே, நீ சொன்னபடி, பொருள்களை அவற்றின் இயல்பின்படி நாம் ஏற்றுக்கொள்கிறோம். எங்களுக்கும் ஒரு நோக்கம் உண்டு— அந்த அருளுக்குப் பதிலாக வேண்டிய பணியை கேள்।
