अनेकदेशदर्शित्वेनातिश्रमसमान्वितः ।
त्वं नातिवृद्धो वयसा नातिवृत्तश्च यौवनात् ।
कथम् अल्पेन कालेन पृथिवीमटसि द्विज ॥
aneka-deśa-darśitvenātiśrama-samānvitaḥ |
tvaṁ nāti-vṛddho vayasā nāti-vṛttaś ca yauvanāt |
katham alpena kālena pṛthivīm aṭasi dvija ||
பல நாடுகளை காட்டியதால் நீங்கள் பெரும் உழைப்பால் சோர்ந்தவர் போலத் தோன்றுகிறீர்கள்; ஆனால் நீங்கள் மிக முதியவரும் அல்ல, இளமை கடந்தவரும் அல்ல. ஓ பிராமணரே, இவ்வளவு குறுகிய காலத்தில் நீங்கள் எவ்வாறு பூமியெங்கும் சுற்றுகிறீர்?
