Adhyaya 52 — The Manifestation of Nilalohita (Rudra) and the Allocation of His Names, Abodes, Consorts, and Lineages
इति श्रीमार्कण्डेयपुराणे दुः सहोत्पत्तिसमापनं नामैकपञ्चाशौऽध्यायः द्विपञ्चाशोऽध्यायः—
मार्कण्डेय उवाच ।
इत्येष तामसः सर्गो ब्रह्मणोऽव्यक्तजन्मनः ।
रुद्रसर्गं प्रवक्ष्यामि तन्मे निगदतः शृणु ॥
iti śrīmārkaṇḍeyapurāṇe duḥsahotpattisamāpanaṃ nāmaikapañcāśau ’dhyāyaḥ dvipañcāśo ’dhyāyaḥ—
mārkaṇḍeya uvāca |
ity eṣa tāmasaḥ sargo brahmaṇo ’vyaktajanmanaḥ /
rudrasargaṃ pravakṣyāmi tan me nigadataḥ śṛṇu
இவ்வாறு ஸ்ரீ மார்கண்டேய புராணத்தில் ‘துஃஸஹ-உற்பத்தி-நிகமனம்’ எனப்படும் ஐம்பத்தொன்றாம் அத்தியாயம் நிறைவுற்றது. மார்கண்டேயர் கூறினார்—அவ்யக்தத்திலிருந்து பிறந்த பிரம்மாவின் இந்த தாமஸ சிருஷ்டி முடிந்தது; இனி ருத்ரத்துடன் தொடர்புடைய சிருஷ்டியை நான் விளக்குவேன்; என் உரையை கேளுங்கள்।
