Adhyaya 50 — Mind-Born Progeny, Svayambhuva Manu’s Lineage, and Brahmā’s Ordinance to Duḥsaha (Alakṣmī’s Retinue)
नव ब्रह्माण इत्येते पुराणे निश्चयंगताः ।
ततोऽसृजत् पुनर्ब्रह्मा रुद्रं क्रोधात्मसम्भवम् ॥
nava brahmāṇa ity ete purāṇe niścayaṃ-gatāḥ | tato ’sṛjat punar brahmā rudraṃ krodhātma-sambhavam ||
புராணத்தில் இவர்கள் ‘நவ பிரம்மர்கள்’—ஒன்பது ஆதிப் பிரஜாபதிகள்—என்று நிறுவப்பட்டுள்ளனர். அதன் பின் பிரம்மா மீண்டும் கோபத்தின் சாரத்திலிருந்து பிறந்த ருத்ரனைப் படைத்தார்.
