Adhyaya 45 — Jaimini’s Cosmological Questions and the Opening of Markandeya’s Account of Primary Creation
सम्भवन्ति ततो ह्यापश्चासन् वै ता रसात्मिकाः ।
रसमात्रन्तु ता ह्यापो रूपमात्रं समावृणोत् ॥
sambhavanti tato hy āpaś cāsan vai tā rasātmikāḥ | rasamātraṃ tu tā hy āpo rūpamātraṃ samāvṛṇot ||
அதிலிருந்தே நீர்கள் (ஆபஸ்) தோன்றுகின்றன; அவை ரச-ஸ்வபாவமுடையவை. அந்த நீர்களும் ரச-குணமுடையவையாக இருந்து ரூபத்தை அனைத்துத் திசைகளிலும் சூழ்ந்து ஆவரிக்கின்றன.
