Adhyaya 34 — Madālāsā’s Instruction on Sadācāra (Householder Conduct, Purity, and Daily Rites)
स्वप्नाध्ययनभोज्यानि सन्ध्ययोश्च विवर्जयेत् ।
सन्ध्यायां मैथुनञ्चापि तथा प्रस्थानमेव च ॥
svapnādhyayanabhojyāni sandhyayoś ca vivarjayet | sandhyāyāṃ maithunaṃ cāpi tathā prasthānam eva ca ||
இரண்டு சந்தியா காலங்களிலும் (விடியல் மற்றும் அந்தி) உறங்குதல், படித்தல் மற்றும் உண்ணுதல் ஆகியவற்றைத் தவிர்க்க வேண்டும். உடலுறவு மற்றும் பயணத்தையும் தவிர்க்க வேண்டும்.

Sandhyā is a liminal, sacred junction of time meant for recollection and worship; ordinary gratifications and disruptions (food, sex, travel) are suspended to prioritize spiritual alignment.
