Adhyaya 31 — Naimittika and Related Śrāddha Rites: Sapiṇḍīkaraṇa, Eligibility, Timing, and Procedure
निष्पादयेनमहाभाग ! पितॄणां प्रीणने रतः । अग्नौ कार्यमनुज्ञातः कुरुष्वेति ततो द्विजैः ॥
niṣpādayen mahābhāga! pitṝṇāṃ prīṇane rataḥ / agnau kāryam anujñātaḥ kuruṣveti tato dvijaiḥ
ஓ நற்குணனே, பித்ருக்களைத் திருப்திப்படுத்துவதில் ஈடுபட்டு அவர் விதிப்படி கிரியையை நிறைவு செய்ய வேண்டும். பின்னர் அனுமதி பெற்றபின் இருபிறப்போரிடம்— ‘அக்னியில் செய்ய வேண்டியதைச் செய்யுங்கள்’ என்று கூற வேண்டும்.
