Adhyaya 29 — Alarka’s Inquiry and Madalasa’s Teaching on Householder Dharma (Gārhasthya), Vaiśvadeva, and Atithi Hospitality
मुहूर्तस्याष्टमं भागमुदीक्ष्योऽप्यतिथिर्भवेत् ।
अतिथिं तत्र सम्प्राप्तमन्नाद्येनोदकेन च ॥
muhūrtasyāṣṭamaṃ bhāgam udīkṣyo 'py atithir bhavet / atithiṃ tatra samprāptam annādyenodakena ca
முஹூர்த்தத்தின் எட்டில் ஒரு பங்கு நேரம் காத்திருந்தாலும் விருந்தினர் வரக்கூடும். அங்கு விருந்தினர் வந்தால், அவரை அன்னம் முதலியவற்றாலும் நீராலும் கூட முறையாக உபசரிக்க வேண்டும்.
