Adhyaya 27 — Madālasa’s Instruction to King Alarka: Royal Ethics, Self-Conquest, and Statecraft
प्रागात्मा मन्त्रिणश्चैव ततो भृत्या महीभृता ।
जेयाश्चानन्तरं पौराः विरुध्येत ततोऽरिभिः ॥
prāg ātmā mantriṇaś caiva tato bhṛtyā mahībhṛtā /
jeyāś cānantaraṃ paurā virudhyeta tato 'ribhiḥ
முதலில் அரசன் தன்னை வெல்ல வேண்டும்; பின்னர் அமைச்சர்களை, அதன் பின் பணியாளர்களை. அடுத்து குடிமக்களை முறையாகக் கட்டுப்பாட்டில் கொண்டு வர வேண்டும்; அதன்பின் தான் பகைவரை எதிர்க்க வேண்டும்।
