Adhyaya 2 — The Lineage of Garuda and the Birth of the Wise Birds: Kanka and Kandhara

Sanskrit

ततो रोषपरीतात्मा कन्धरः कन्दरस्थितम् ।

तमुवाच सुदुष्टात्मन्नेहि युध्यस्व वै मया ॥

Transliteration

tato roṣaparītātmā kandharaḥ kandarasthitam |

tam uvāca suduṣṭātman nehi yudhyasva vai mayā ||

Translation

அப்போது கந்தரன் கோபத்தில் மூழ்கிய மனத்துடன் குகையில் தங்கியிருந்த அவனை நோக்கி கூறினான்—“துஷ்டாத்மா, வா; நிச்சயமாக என்னுடன் போரிடு!”
