सहदेवस्य गोसंख्य-तन्तिपाल-रूपेण विराट-समागमः | Sahadeva’s Audience with Virāṭa as Cattle-Enumerator

नच पादौ न चोच्छिष्टं स्प्रक्ष्यसि त्वं कथंचन । सुदेष्णाने कहा--आनन्ददायिनी सुन्दरी! यदि (तुम्हारा शील-स्वभाव) ऐसा है
na ca pādau na cocchiṣṭaṃ spṛkṣyasi tvaṃ kathaṃcana | sudeṣṇāne kahā—ānandadāyinī sundarī! yadi (tavā) śīla-svabhāvaḥ evaṃ, tarhi yathā tava icchā, tathā tvāṃ niścayena mama gṛhe sthāpayāmi | tvayā kathaṃcid api pādaḥ vā ucchiṣṭaṃ vā na spraṣṭavyam |
வைசம்பாயனர் கூறினார்—நீ எந்த விதத்திலும் என் பாதங்களைத் தொட வேண்டாம்; என் உணவின் உச்சிஷ்டத்தையும் தொட வேண்டியதில்லை. சுதேஷ்ணை கூறினாள்—ஆனந்தம் தரும் அழகியே! உன் ஒழுக்கமும் இயல்பும் இப்படியே இருந்தால், உன் விருப்பத்திற்கேற்ப உன்னை என் இல்லத்தில் நிச்சயமாக வைத்திருப்பேன்; உனக்கு பாதஸ்பரிசமும் உச்சிஷ்டஸ்பரிசமும் எவ்விதத்திலும் நேராது.
