Prācī-diś Tīrtha-kathana
महर्षीणामिदं गुह्ां सर्वपापप्रमोचनम् | अधीत्य द्विजमध्ये च निर्मल: स्वर्गमाप्तुयात्,यह महर्षियोंका गोपनीय रहस्य है। सब पापोंका नाश करनेवाला है। द्विजमण्डलीमें इस गंगा-माहात्म्यका पाठ करके मनुष्य निर्मल हो स्वर्गलोकमें पहुँच जाता है
maharṣīṇām idaṁ guhyaṁ sarvapāpapramocanam | adhītya dvijamadhye ca nirmalaḥ svargam āpnuyāt |
புலஸ்த்யர் கூறினார்—இது மகரிஷிகளுக்குரிய மறை உபதேசம்; எல்லாப் பாவங்களையும் நீக்கும். இருமுறை பிறந்தோரின் சபையில் இதை கற்று ஓதி உரைத்தால் மனிதன் தூய்மையடைந்து சொர்க்கலோகத்தை அடைவான்.
