अयं तपस्वी भगवान् स्वाध्यायनियतो द्विज: । यद् यद् ब्रूयान्महातेजास्तत्तद् देयममत्सरात्,'ये विप्रवर महातेजस्वी, तपस्वी, ऐश्वर्यशशाली तथा नियमपूर्वक वेदोंके स्वाध्यायमें संलग्न रहनेवाले हैं। ये जिस-जिस वस्तुके लिये कहें, वह सब इन्हें ईर्ष्यारहित हो श्रद्धाके साथ देना
ayaṁ tapasvī bhagavān svādhyāya-niyato dvijaḥ | yad yad brūyān mahātejās tat tad deyam amatsarāt ||
வைசம்பாயனர் கூறினார்—இவர் பூஜ்யமான த்விஜர்; தவத்தில் நிலைத்தவர்; வேத ஸ்வாத்யாய நியமத்தில் உறுதியானவர். இந்த மகாதேஜஸ்வி எதை எதை வேண்டினாலும், அதையே பொறாமையின்றி, தூய மனத்துடன் அளிக்க வேண்டும்.
